The Darkness Of The Love

”No. I’ve rented out the resort across the street for both of you. So finish your dinner and hurry up and go back!”

”This resort is too big for both of us, Dev. Why don’t you just let Kai and Miranda sleep here?” Asked Nayra, feeling surprised by her husband’s decision which she just found out about. Dev drew his gaze to Nayra. He gave an intimidating look until finally Nayra was silent and did not dare to protest again, because she had promised that while in London she would obey Dev and not spend time with Miranda too much. After dinner, Dev approached Nayra who was sitting by the fire with Miranda to warm her body because the weather almost made them both freeze, even a sweater that was knitted thickly was still unable to warm her body.

”Nayra, let’s go to the room,” Said Dev, tugging Nayra’s hand so she could quickly get up.

”I’ll just stay here. The room is cold for me.”

”You won’t be cold in the room, I’ll warm you.” Meanwhile Miranda rubbed her palms and pretended not to hear what the husband and wife were talking about.

”You’ll warm up with what? There’s no fireplace in the room.”

”There is no fireplace, but there is something more that can warm your body than just a fireplace. Come on.

” He managed to get Nayra to get up and leave her seat, even though she was reluctant to leave the fireplace.

”Don’t leave Miranda alone here, at least wait for Kai to return so that Miranda’s would not feel alone.”

”Kai will come back soon and take Miranda to go to the resort on the opposite,” said Dev.

”Yes, Nay, it’s okay. He’ll come back soon,” said Miranda.

”Are you really okay if I leave you alone?”

”Yes, it is okay. Go to sleep. It’s late anyway. It’s not good for your health.” Nayra pursed her lips.

”Alright, Dev, come on,” she said.

”But wait,” she stopped her steps.

”What else?” Dev clicked his tongue .

”What do you use to warm room temperature? Meanwhile, the fireplace couldn’t be turned on.”

”Using your body!” he said, making Nayra and Miranda’s eyes open when they heard him.

”I’ll use your body as fuel to light the fireplace!” Dev suddenly lifted Nayra’s body in bridal style and took her into the room. Nayra screamed asking to be lowered but Dev didn’t bring her down. Even when Dev had locked the room, Nayra’s screams still sounded outside. Miranda panicked. She rose to leave the fireplace only to go to Nayra’s room. She was worried about Nayra because she took Dev’s words seriously, that he would make her friend the fuel of the fireplace.

”What did Dev do? Is he really going to burn Nayra to make a fire?” Miranda put her ear on the bedroom door. The voice of Nayra’s scream was still heard, but it was faint. She got panic even more, afraid if something bad happens to her friend. Miranda was about to bang on the door, but her intention was canceled when Kai suddenly came and held her hand.

”What are you doing here?”

”Kai, please help Nayra. Dev wants to burn Nayra inside!” She said while shaking Kai’s body in panic.

”Dev wants to burn Nayra in the room to fuel the fireplace. If you don’t believe it, just put your ear here,” She said again, pointing at the door,”Nayra has been screaming.” Either the girl in front of him was really innocent or pretended to be innocent so she didn’t know what Dev meant. Kai ignored Miranda’s words, because he knew what Dev was doing in the room. Instead, he grabbed Miranda’s head with his arm and took her away from there before she messed up.

”It’s so impolite to eavesdrop in front of someone’s room!”

”Kai let me go... Let me go....” Miranda exclaimed while walking thrashed, but Kai still pinched the girl’s head and took her with quick steps towards the opposite resort.
