Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2319: Chapter 2255: Yes, Marriage Is a Big Deal

”Low-cut? Sleeveless? Short skirt?” Meng Xinian’s face darkened.

What kind of outfit is that?

Just the thought of her wearing clothes like that, with large areas of her fair, smooth skin on display for others, made his heart feel like it was being scratched repeatedly.

Chiang Xiao just remembered that in this era there weren’t such sexy dresses yet, wedding cocktail dresses? Mini wedding dresses?

Don’t even think about it, even white wedding dresses were very old-fashioned in style.

She might as well wear a military uniform.

However, she remembered that many years later, most people looked back and regretted not taking more photos at that time, and some hadn’t even thought about capturing memories with pictures.

”Brother Xinian, let’s take a set of wedding photos then.”

”Of course, we need to take wedding photos.”

”Not the kind of studio portrait you’re thinking of, just the two of us sitting together. Let’s do street photography.”

”Street photography?” Meng Xinian pondered, ”You mean taking photos on the street?”

”Yes, that’s what I mean. We’ll take more pictures, so in the future, we can revisit them whenever we want.” As Chiang Xiao thought about it, she already had an idea, ”I’ll make a photo album myself, including some drawings.”

The photos, plus some behind-the-scenes sketches she would draw, would make the album have great commemorative value.

Meng Xinian nodded immediately, ”That’s a great idea.”

”Then we’ll need to buy several nice and photogenic outfits, and also carefully choose a photographer, and locations too. With so much to prepare, is June enough time?”

”When do you want it?”

”How about October? October in the golden autumn is the most suitable time to get married. Plus, it gives us more time to prepare everything.”

October...

That felt like a wait that would make his heart grow moss!

Meng Xinian gritted his teeth as he looked at her, ”Chiang Xiaoxiao, can you bear it?”

To make him wait almost another year?

Seeing his resentful look, Chiang Xiao couldn’t help but want to laugh.

Was it really that painful?

”What’s wrong with October?”

”There’s only one bad thing—it’s too far from now.” Meng Xinian shook his head. ”By then, we’ll just pick some thinner and cooler clothes, and after all, it’s just a day, we can endure it.”

”A once-in-a-lifetime joyous day, why should we endure it?”

”October isn’t that much cooler.”

Anyway, if it could be October, why not June?

Chiang Xiao stared at him, ”So what’s the best day according to you? Did you ask Grandpa Yang?”

Suddenly Meng Xinian didn’t want to talk anymore.

”Forget it, we’ll talk about this next time. I’m leaving now; you go rest.”

Watching him clearly trying to escape, Chiang Xiao felt there’s something fishy about it.

Of course, as soon as night fell, Meng Xinian snuck back in.

The next day, as Chiang Xiao was packing up to leave, The Elder Couple Yang and Yang Zhiqi came to see her off, and Old Yang said, ”Little, once you and Xinian set the wedding date, be sure to let Grandma and me know, we’ll come for the wedding feast. But, I think you don’t have to rush. November thirteenth is a better day, not necessarily June, right?”

Hearing this, Chiang Xiao immediately looked at Meng Xinian.

Meng Xinian looked up at the sky, hmm, the sky was very blue.

Then he looked at the ground, hmm, the sand grains were quite... interesting.

Chiang Xiao didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.

Is this man too childish?
