Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 2251: Chapter 2187: Shrewd and Calculating

Over thirty thousand, that’s really impressive.

”Exactly,” Gao Yan clapped her hands and said, ”This kind of tea is called ’Flow of Years’. It’s even more expensive to drink at their place. There are also some snacks, just some ordinary tea pastries, but they’re sold at astoundingly high prices!”

”But would there be any customers going there?” Gao Wei asked, ”If it’s sold so expensively, where would there be customers? Won’t it be closing down soon?”

If it’s sold so expensively, where would there be any customers going there?

Hmm, a few days ago, he seemed to hear someone mention that a tea house had opened, saying the environment was excellent. It must be this one they were talking about, right?

At that time, he just listened casually, without paying much attention, and didn’t hear what the tea house was called.

In his social circle, it was only natural for friends to frequent such pricey tea houses, but surely they couldn’t have opened a tea house just for their circle’s business?

Gao Yan exclaimed, ”Oh no, you guys have no idea, that tea house is doing incredible business, sometimes there’s even a queue.”

”A queue?” Gao Ming was also very surprised.

A place this expensive also has a queue?

Niu Dazhi quickly added, ”Isn’t that right? It’s unbelievable, some of those people must be out of their minds, waiting in line just to sit inside and eat a couple of tea pastries even if they don’t drink tea. Big brother, you say, aren’t the pastries our Niu Family makes also quite delicious? We’re just a short distance away from the tea house, yet people prefer to wait in line there, instead of coming to our shop. Our pastries are made with traditional techniques, not only are they tasty, they’re also not expensive...”

Seeing Niu Dazhi going off about boasting his pastries again, Gao Yan nudged him with her elbow, signaling him to stop.

Niu Dazhi, seeing his wife interrupt him again, realized he was talking too much, and immediately shut his mouth, looking a bit embarrassed.

”I heard the owner of that tea house is quite something, rumored to be a young girl around twenty years old, who also knows martial arts. When someone confronted her, they ended up being beaten.” Gao Yan said, cautiously observing Gao Ming’s expression.

Gao Ming took another sip of tea, his expression unchanged, but he confidently stated, ”Did you guys have a falling out with the tea house owner?”

He pinpointed it right away, truly impressive.

Niu Dazhi looked at Gao Ming with deep admiration.

Gao Yan, a bit embarrassed, said, ”Big brother, it’s just that we couldn’t stand the tea house setting such high prices, isn’t that messing up the market order? But I didn’t expect that girl to be so tough, she beat them up so badly they couldn’t even stand.”

”Did she beat them to death?”

”No, not that. The person was taken away by the public security officers.” Gao Yan said.

Gao Ming still tasted the full, fragrant tea sweetness in his mouth.

A young girl running such a tea house, earning about thirty thousand a month, and even knows some kung fu.

If there’s someone behind this girl, then it might be worth looking into whose child she is.

If there’s no one behind this girl, then...

She might actually be quite suitable for Gao Wei.

Gao Ming looked at Gao Wei and suddenly said, ”Xiao Wei, aren’t you also free? Why don’t you go check it out tomorrow, see if the tea house is really overpricing, or if things there are truly worth that much. Also, investigate whether all the tea house’s procedures and licenses are in order.”

Gao Yan, sensing an opportunity, quickly asked, ”Big brother, what about us sending someone to the tea house...thing?”
