Rebirth: Splendid Marriage in the 80s

Chapter 1024: Chapter 1025: Where Did This Good Tea Come From?

It wasn’t that Meng Chaojun was willing to accept other people’s things, it was clearly Duan Qingqing who did it for him.

”What kind of good tea is it?”

Now, Kuang Hong really became interested in this tea.

Duan Qingqing wasn’t someone who accepted just any gift, if it wasn’t of a certain quality, she surely wouldn’t accept it.

”The name of this tea is also nice, it’s called Ye Guangqu.”

Duan Qingqing took out a dark red tea caddy, ”You haven’t heard of it, have you? I heard it’s a type of Da Hong Pao that has become very popular in the last two years.”

Kuang Hong remained unconvinced, ”Many teas that are hyped up to sell at high prices are actually just so-so in taste, good enough to fool fools and the newly rich, but truly knowledgeable people wouldn’t buy them.”

”This one really isn’t like that,” Duan Qingqing said. ”Although it’s very expensive, the output is genuinely very limited, and it’s not that easy to come by. Guess how much this caddy I’m holding is worth?”

The caddy of tea leaves in her hand looked like just two hundred grams.

”Two hundred?”

Kuang Hong felt like she had already guessed quite generously.

Duan Qingqing however shook her head, ”Sister-in-law, you guessed wrong, I asked someone who knows this stuff, and this caddy is worth one thousand eight hundred.”

”What? One thousand eight hundred?” Kuang Hong’s voice suddenly rose.

Old Meng just came in and heard this sentence, immediately furrowing his brows, ”What about one thousand eight hundred?”

It wasn’t that he was interested in their conversation, but he had always felt that Duan Qingqing was unreliable. His son listened to everything she said, and he was afraid this woman would cause trouble and bring disaster upon them.

Otherwise, why would he insist on living with them?

Apart from not wanting to give up the old mansion, keeping an eye on Duan Qingqing was a plan he had never spoken of.

His son might be foolish, but still, that was his son, and he only had this one son.

Moreover, if something happened to Meng Chaojun, it would definitely affect Xinian. For Xinian’s sake, he had to keep a close eye on this woman.

Duan Qingqing was annoyed in her heart.

Really, Sister-in-law, why speak so loudly?

”Nothing, Dad, I was just chatting with my brother and sister-in-law about how some teas are just too expensive these days.”

Old Meng frowned and walked over, pointing to the caddy in her hand, ”How much is that caddy you’re holding?” He was now drinking tea given by Chiang Xiao, a ginseng tea blended by Chiang Xiao.

The flavor is rich and it has a very good aftertaste.

He had gotten used to that kind of tea, and couldn’t stomach other teas. If paired with the tea snacks given by Chiang Xiao, it was truly phenomenal.

”This one is very cheap, just sixty-eight yuan for a caddy,” Duan Qingqing said, unflinchingly.

Duan Feian and Kuang Hong watched from the side, truly admiring her acting skills, being able to claim a tea worth one thousand eight hundred was sixty-eight without batting an eyelid, this was their first time witnessing such a thing.

Old Meng sat down, not intending to leave.

”Sixty-eight? Then brew a pot, I’ll try it too.”

What?

He wants to try it too?

Duan Qingqing was even more annoyed now.

He usually scorned to sit with her, what’s gotten into him today?

But she couldn’t just blatantly ask Meng Donghai to leave, so she had to brace herself with a smile and brewed a pot of tea. After all, the old man had never been able to discern much about tea before. How could he distinguish anything about this Ye Guangqu?

However, she didn’t expect that Old Meng, used to the tea Chiang Xiao provided, had his taste buds refined, and moreover, this Ye Guangqu came exactly from the Ancient Tea Tree at Huali Tea Garden owned by the Huo Family.

The tea Chiang Xiao usually made was plucked from the tea trees in Space, and though the two tea trees are of the same variety and differ greatly in quality, they at least share some similarities.
